FAQ/AFTERCARE

Eyelash extensions are synthetic lashes that are applied to your natural eyelashes. The extensions give instant length, thickness and curl to your natural lashes without the daily hassle of mascara. Your eyes will be instantly lifted and more noticeable. When applied properly, lash extensions can look completely natural or give you a more dramatic look based on your desires. The process is completely painless and damage-free if done correctly.

One of our licensed and certified technicians individually applies lashes to you eyelashes using a medical grade, safe adhesive. The extensions are glued strategically to your lashes and nothing touches your skin. The lower lashes are covered and protected with a soothing gel pad during the application process. This relaxing process is painless; in fact, many clients take a nap. Lash extensions come in different lengths, thicknesses, and curls, results vary from subtle to dramatic.

Eyelash extensions last 4-6 weeks on average depending on a number of factors such as the style, aftercare, hair growth, types of activities, etc. With proper care and maintenance appointments, your extensions can last indefinitely.

Volume Lashes are different weighted lash extensions, to provide several different looks depending on your natural lashes.

A full-set of eyelash extensions takes approximately 2 – 2.5 hours. Touch-ups and Fills take 1.5 hours or less.

It is not recommended to wear mascara or eyeliner over the eyelash extensions, however, we do sell lash compatible mascara and eyeliners for those that want to wear it. Regular mascara can weaken the bond of the adhesive and cause a premature loss of the extensions. However, you may wear water-based, non waterproof mascara on the lower lashes, being careful when applying and removing. Waterproof mascara is never recommended.

Contact lenses MUST be removed

The more meticulous you are about caring for your eyelash extensions, the longer you can expect them to last.

  1. Only use water based and oil-free products around the eye area, including mascara and makeup remover. Oil breaks down the adhesive bond. Creams and serums should be applied sparingly, and no closer than the orbital bone. Anything that hasn’t absorbed after 2 minutes can be blotted with a tissue or blotting paper.
  2. Avoid waterproof mascara and eyeliner. To have longer lasting lashes, only use mascara and eyeliner that is compatible with eyelash extensions (look for our favorites in the shop).
  3. Wash your eyelashes daily with an eyelash extension compatible cleanser. Cleanser is applied directly onto the lashes, rubbed gently in a downward motion and rinsed with water. Remember, eyelashes are meant to protect our eyes from debris, dirt, dust and need to be cleaned. Shop for cleansers during your next appointment.
  4. Avoid using cotton swabs or pads as they leave lint that catches on your extensions.
  5. Do not use an eyelash curler, it creates a kink in the eyelash extensions, reducing the life of your extensions.
  6. Do not rub, pick, twist or pull at your lashes or eyelash extensions. If you would like them removed, please contact us to set up an appointment for a lash removal. It is quicker and safer to have them properly removed with the correct products.
  7. If you can, sleep on your back to avoid the risk of lashes rubbing against your pillow. We recommend sleeping on a silk pillowcase, as cotton can pull the lashes out.
  8. Be gentle with your lashes. How you care for eyelash extensions will directly affect the look of your lashes, as well as, the length of time between touch-up appointments.
  9. If you experience any pain, redness or irritation, contact us immediately.
